You can help our group get the word out that Denver residents want an end to urban camping. The more people the Denver City Council hears from, the louder our voice becomes. Please sign-up to speak during the next 30-minute General Public Comment Session held prior to all city council meetings. The General Public Comments Session starts at 5:00pm every Monday.
First you must sign-up to speak the Friday before at noon. It is on a first-come, first-serve basis. Typically, 7-8 people are called to speak. These time slots fill up immediately so be ready to sign-up exactly at noon on Friday. You will not be notified on Friday that you were selected, instead you will need to be ready to speak on Monday if you are one of the first 7-8 to sign-up.
You are given 3 minutes to speak and can speak in-person or via a zoom call. The zoom call is easy; type out what you want to say before the meeting and then read it when they call on you. Have a specific point you want to make and follow it with a specific request of the council. Thank you for your involvement, Denver needs you now more than ever.
